When Jeremiah and I got back from Nashville, I slumped into a pretty slumpy slump. It was hard to get back into the groove after such a wonderful weekend away. The post-vacation blues. Jere and I have pretty severe wanderlust and we try to get away whenever we can, even if it's just a quick day-trip--we love to explore and sightsee and experience a new place. Any money that we tuck away--it goes towards traveling.

We live for adventure, and sometimes, in the suburbs of Illinois with full-time jobs and a doggie that has FOMO--that adventure is hard to come by.

We love our little life in the suburbs, don't get us wrong, but sometimes, a new place can provide such a high--a wanderlust high--and when we come back home, it's hard to come back down. It's hard to go back to "the real world."

It's a tricky situation because I love home. I am the biggest homebody I know. I love to stay in and watch movies and cuddle on the couch with Jere and Miles while I scroll through my Tumblr feed, but lately, I just want to go, go, go. As we try to check off things from our Baby Bucket List, the traveling and adventure and new things just get us both excited and we don't want to stop!

This weekend, I'm heading to Michigan City for one of my girlfriend's Bachelorette party. Jere and I will be heading to Madison next month. We're hoping to get back to San Francisco sometime in this life (PLANE TICKETS. Y U BE SO EXPENSIVE?). There is SO much we want to see and we're so lucky that we can see some of it, but I'm greedy and I want to see ALL of it.

A couple weekends ago, Jere and I headed to Chicago to cross off "Be A Tourist in Our Own City" off our Baby Bucket List! We went to the Bean, marched in a parade, rode the ferris wheel and took a lot of cheesy photos. It was a quick day trip, but it scratched that little travel itch that's been killing me lately. Enjoy!
